01 / About
Engineer by training.
Builder by instinct.
I'm a first-year Mechatronics Engineering student at the University of Waterloo. My program covers mechanics, electronics, software, and systems simultaneously.
My focus is on building complete systems — not just parts, or code, but both working together. My projects span robotic arm design, AI-powered CAD automation, industrial data analysis, and workflow engineering.
I'm currently looking for a 4-month Fall 2026 co-op in robotics, mechanical design, or embedded systems. Open to all offers.

PROJECT_01
AI-Powered SolidWorks Automation
Solo Developer
Built a Python tool connecting the Claude API to SolidWorks via the Windows COM bridge — enabling natural-language commands to drive parametric 3D modeling. Describe a part in plain English; the tool parses intent, extracts geometry, and executes SolidWorks operations automatically.
- Claude API as reasoning layer — translates ambiguous input into structured geometry commands
- pywin32 COM bridge drives SolidWorks natively — direct API calls, not UI scripting
- Multi-step modeling sequences with state tracking across tool calls
- Supports cylinders, boxes, with architecture designed for easy shape expansion
Input: "make a cylinder 50mm wide and 100mm tall" → SolidWorks generates the part automatically
PROJECT_02
Sensor-Fused 3-DOF Robotic Arm
Lead Designer & Systems Integrator
Delivered a fully integrated mechatronics system combining a 3-DOF arm, 5-sensor input stack, and modular C++ control logic — autonomously sorting laundry by garment color without human input.
- Full simulation in SolidWorks before any fabrication
- 5-sensor input stack fusing optical brightness sensing with inertial-guided base rotation
- Computer vision pipeline driving real-time pick-and-place decisions
- 3 prototype iterations resolving singularity and payload issues
- 75%+ autonomous sorting accuracy across multiple garment colors
VEX-based 3-DOF arm with custom gripper — built and tested in the UW electronics lab
PROJECT_03
V4 Engine Modelling & Motion Simulation
Designer
Modelled a V4 internal combustion engine assembly in SolidWorks, including crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, and cylinder block geometry — then ran a full motion simulation to analyse real engine kinematics.
- Applied parametric modelling to maintain design intent across all mating components
- Ran a motion simulation of the piston-crankshaft mechanism, analysing displacement, velocity, and acceleration through a full engine cycle
- Gained hands-on understanding of how crankshaft rotation translates to linear piston displacement
- Practised multi-body assembly constraints and motion mates to replicate real engine kinematics

PROJECT_04
Industrial Equipment Analysis
Engineering Analyst · Skyjack
Developed MATLAB scripts to process operational data from Skyjack aerial work platforms, extracting performance insights from large sensor datasets.
- Pipelines handling real-world noisy sensor data
- Visualization outputs used directly by the engineering team
- Signal processing applied to operational time-series data
PROJECT_05
Workflow Automation Suite
Developer
Python automation scripts using PyAutoGUI to eliminate repetitive manual workflows — built for reliability across variable screen states with error recovery and logging.
- Automated multi-step UI workflows requiring constant manual input
- Image-recognition routines handling dynamic screen content
- Exception handling ensuring graceful recovery from unexpected states
